Winter Plumbing Concerns-Millersville Plumbing & Drain

Happy Valentines Day from Millersville Plumbing & Drain.
Our Youngest Plumber

Annapolis is experiencing very cold temperatures this winter.  Here are some hits to be sure cold weather calamity doesn't affect your home:

Be sure to turn off the inside valve to your outside spigots. Never leave a hose attached to the outside spigot in freezing weather.

When it's really cold, open up your cabinet doors to allow heat to get to your water pipes in the kitchen and bathroom. In extreme cold weather, take caution with any pipes under the sink or exposed to the outside --  let your faucets drip to allow for movement of water.

If you are on a well, keep your well pump insulated.  Have an electric light bulb for additional heat installed by a reputable contractor and keep it on a timer.

Don't let this happen to you!
